I dont seem to have got as much done this week as I wanted to but I have still done a reasonable amount.
As you may have read in previous posts, I had a list of stuff I wanted to do this week. Well the update is as follows:
- Vietnam Visa… done and dusted
- Myanmar… still need to chase them. Beginning to think they done want my money.
- China Visa… finalised flights and hotels last night. Got all the paperwork together and submitted it this morning. Need to pick it up Tuesday morning.
- South Korea, Japan, Philipines etc… not started
- Laptop and Gear – found somewhere safe to leave them in Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore so all is good.
In addition to these. I have booked a trip into Bhutan and Taiwan, cleaned out the cupboards I wanted to for this week. What’s left to do isnt so bad.
Getting visas is a painful. if you dont get there first thing in the morning you end up waiting for hours. Unfortunately getting up at 6:30am to be in a very cold queue (-2 C this morning) outside an embassy at 8:30am is not the most exciting thing I can think of for those of us who are gainfully unemployed. What happened to those supposed days of not getting up til midday? I can assure you they haven’t happened as yet. I think the only real break I am going to get is when I jump on the plane to HKG.
No rest for the wicked I’m afraid. I have a pile of stuff I need to sort out today. My bank card expires at the end of this month and I need a new one. Also need to try and sort out a back up card so that will no doubt be a long and painful conversation with them. Best I get on and do it I suppose.
See ya later
