Saturday will make it 4 weeks that I have been home and it certainly doesnt feel like it. In that time, I have managed to lose my HDD but also managed to recover it – Thankfully. I have caught up with a few friends but most importantly I have tried to focus on getting well. Physically I feel okay now but for some reason I lose all energy in the afternoon and find myself needing to sleep or rest before I can do anything else. It’s a bit weird really. I’m taking vitamins daily (as often as I remember) and hope that they will make a difference. I was hoping to head back to Asia by the 10th June but since that is a few days away, it doesnt look like it is going to happen. Regardless, I need to be back in Beijing on the 1st July at the very latest so that I can do the Trans Mongolian.
I havent exactly been just sitting at home since I was back. I drove down to Brighton one day and had a look around. Despite living in the UK for 10 years, I had never been there. It was the first time I had ever been on a pebble beach and luckily I picked a beautiful sunny day.

Last weekend saw me out watching the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with over a million other people. Despite the English weather being quite nice over the last few weeks, last weekend was terrible…typical British weather – wet and cold. We had a great day though including a picnic on Lambeth Bridge and we got to see the Royal Family as they went past on their boat. It was a pretty good day.
