Saturday will make it 4 weeks that I have been home and it certainly doesnt feel like it. In that time, I have managed to lose my HDD but also managed to recover it – Thankfully. I have caught up with a few friends but most importantly I have tried to focus on getting well. Physically I feel okay now but for some reason I lose all energy in the afternoon and find myself needing to sleep or rest before I can do anything else. It’s a bit weird really. I’m taking vitamins daily (as often as I remember) and hope that they will make a difference. I was hoping to head back to Asia by the 10th June but since that is a few days away, it doesnt look like it is going to happen. Regardless, I need to be back in Beijing on the 1st July at the very latest so that I can do the Trans Mongolian.
I havent exactly been just sitting at home since I was back. I drove down to Brighton one day and had a look around. Despite living in the UK for 10 years, I had never been there. It was the first time I had ever been on a pebble beach and luckily I picked a beautiful sunny day.
Last weekend saw me out watching the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with over a million other people. Despite the English weather being quite nice over the last few weeks, last weekend was terrible…typical British weather – wet and cold. We had a great day though including a picnic on Lambeth Bridge and we got to see the Royal Family as they went past on their boat. It was a pretty good day.
Hi Kiara! It’s Red from Singapore. Get well and get back travelling. Asia’s beckoning! Cheers.
Hi Red,
Where are you these days? I’m in the process of planning my trip back to Asia and am of course looking for ways to get back via countries that I havent been to before or the other option… fly to Australia and then head North to Beijing. Need to be in Beijing by the 1st July for the Trans-Mongolian back to Moscow.
Hope your travelling is going well…
cheers
KC
