I’m currently on the border of NK and China. My understanding is that the missile was shot from NK at 7am local time today and I found out at around 9am that it hadnt been the success that NK was hoping for. I believe this is all over the internet so I am not going to make comments on it.
From here, I cant log into fb or even this blog. I can only post via a 3rd party piece of software. Amazed I can do that much! Strangely enough skype seems to work though.
The last 36 hours have been interesting. Flight from HKG to Beijing. Run from Beijing airport to Beijing Train Station. 15 hours on a train from Beijing to Dandong. Checked out Dandong today. The Museum was interesting. It talked about the Korean war from a perspective that I had never considered before and had some interesting photos.
Went for a climb on the Great Wall… not fun when you are severly lacking sleep. Lunch was spectacular. Then a cruise on the Yalo River where we could see NK on one side and China on the other. Was interesting to see the number of Chinese who were on a day trip to see the NK’s.
This evening I went for a walk in the hotel and made a new friend. I heard a pile of noise so I went to investigate. Turns out it was an 80th Birthday party. The sister-in-law of the birthday boy started talking to me (in English) and I ended up with cake, buns… all sorts! Infact, so much of it that I have no idea what to do with it all.
Aside from all that, I am about to repack my luggage as I have an early start into NK in the morning…
Wish me luck kiddies and I’ll see you on the other side 🙂
