This weeks thrilling list of things to do.
After an entertaining weekend (I saw the London Premiere of a brilliant film called Bombay Beach at Wilton’s Music Hall and was at a friends place on Sunday celebrating Australia Day), this week is more mundane stuff:
- Apply for Visa for Vietnam. It’s only a single entry, one month, so should be quick enough – ETA 3 days.
- Get on to the travel company in Myanmar and confirm the travel plans so that I can start sorting things out there
- Visa for China to go in and out of North Korea. Do I need a double entry visa? If so I will need the confirmation from the North Korean Travel company…OR… can I get away with a transit visa in China? Somehow I dont think so but need to check it out.
- Start looking into travel plans for South Korea, Japan, Phillipines, Indonesia etc.
- Do I need to drop my laptop, mobile etc off in Hong Kong, Singapore or Bangkok before I go into Myanmar? If so I need to plan it.
In between this, I need to sort my kitchen out and throw out all the rubbish in my kitchen cupboards. Who knew that unemployment could be so busy? I also need to catch up with a few people for lunch/dinner this week. I’ll get there… eventually!
So looking forward to following your journeys!
When you leave on 15 Feb are you staying thru 1 April? Looking at the dates…are you staying 13 days in Cambodia and 13 days in Myanmar?
And I hate to admit it….but I don’t ever remember hearing of Bhutan before. Hope pictures are included in either your blog or fb! 🙂

I’ll be gone 15th Feb – 27th July inclusive 🙂 I haven’t added some of the bits I’ve planned to the blog as yet… Plus I have a heap that I havent even begun to plan.
There are times when I will be in and out of major hubs like Bangkok, Singapore and Hong Kong but for the sake of sanity, I havent added those to the list on here. I have a spreadsheet where I have been tracking it all.
I plan to put some pictures on here but I think most of them will go on FB so if people arent a personal friend of mine they wont see them all..
Bhutan has the world’s highest GNH (Gross National Happiness) – I’m hoping some of it will rub off on me 🙂
cheers
