Sometimes things stick by us and we find ourselves going back to them over and over.

Whenever I make a major change in my life I find myself reading a particular poem. I never plan to read it but it always happens regardless and of course it’s happened again. For some reason this poem always makes me stop and consider what I am doing.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
~ Robert Frost – The Road Not Taken

Anyway… to fill you in on what’s happened in the last week… I’ve been a bit all over the place for some reason. I’ve done what I needed to do so the filing and spring cleaning is now complete. I’m just finishing up the company accounts and then all I need to do is pack!

From this.....

...to this

Of course nothing ever goes quite that well. I lost my wallet, I found my wallet. I screamed at the bank as my main visa card expires at the end of this month and I’m not going to be around. There are only 4 more chances for the post to get it here and I still dont have it so I had to make a backup plan. For anyone who needs a Mastercard in a hurry it turns out that Travelex will issue a prepaid Mastercard on the spot in most of their locations. All you need to do is preload cash on it. Is also not a bad idea should you find yourself in need of a backup card to take overseas with you. So now I am happily sorted and I dont care whether or not the new visa card makes it through from the bank or not.

Today is Friday and I leave on Wednesday. No doubt I will find heaps to do between now and then. Speak soon…

cheers
